  Adelaide-based Venture Holidays has Tuesday announced that they will soon become the Australian sales agents for UK-based adventure wholesalers Explore Worldwide. The new alliance will begin on the 1st of April, takes over from the existing partnership with Adventure World, and will see Venture Holidays get behind the full Explore Worldwide offering of 450 itineraries in 120 countries. “When it comes to getting off the traditional tourist track it’s impossible to beat them,” said Robert Mackay Venture Holidays Managing Director. “Age is not an issue as all the trips are within the capabilities of people who enjoy good health and are reasonably active. About half are couples or friends travelling together, and the remainder travel solo.” While there are no single’s supplements for EXPLORE! products if travellers are willing to share a room, those who’d like a room to themselves are usually given the option of paying extra if they wish. Not to be confused with Australian TravelSpirit owned Explore Holidays, EXPLORE! is the adventure travel brand of Cheshire-based Holidaybreak, the company which also owns Superbreak. When asked by e-Travel Blackboard if there will be brand confusion with this renewed push into the Australian market, a spokesperson for Venture denied it was an issue saying, “Explore Worldwide has been in the Australian market for years”. “There’s never been confusion and I don’t think there ever will be.”
